1. Side A is the first released 'Double Groove' single (ie: has two grooves) - depending on where the needle lands you either get 'Pop Muzik' or 'M Factor' coming out of the speakers. The release was available with 12" picture sleeves the same as the 7" release, see Pop Muzik/5(50).

6. This album kicks off with M’s brilliant piece of catchy synth-pop, the appropriately titled Pop Muzik that’s become a classic of the genre. Unfortunately nothing else on the album comes close to that masterpiece, although Moonlight And Muzak and That’s The Way The Money Goes are /5(27).

7. And Pop Muzik also includes four gems from Scott's unreleased fourth album, which saw him experimenting with African music long before it became the '80s' world beat du jour. "Jive Shikisha" and "Are You Ready," in particular, are charming fusions of highlife rhythms and Western pop. They add an exotic capper to a very well chosen collection.
